In line with the corporate social responsibility policy, risk management aims to balance the will of value creation for our stakeholders and the risks associated with business, commercial, operational, labour, financial and social initiatives.
Based on the code of ethics of the company and its values, this priority is present in all good corporate governance practices, guaranteeing an appropriate segregation of functions, duties and responsibilities, and developed from a regulatory point in line with internal policies and rules that are compulsory for all employees within the Viscofan Group.
In 2017, we have reviewed process management and risk monitoring through the assessment of an independent company. With this study, 35 new key risk indicators (KRI) were included, 26 existing KRI were modified, and 18 previous KRI were eliminated. A new computer tool to enable management was also implemented.
With regard to this, section E) of the Annual Corporate Governance Report of the Viscofan Group describes the main risks and uncertainties, the bodies responsible for drawing up and enforcing the risk management system, the description of the main risks, level of tolerance and risks occurred in the year.
